Do I get a warranty with my E-Motive electric scooter?
Yes all E-Motive products have comprehensive warranty covering any manufacturing or material defects that may occur, including battery replacement in the unlikely event that this should be required. The warranty covers parts and labour and lasts for 2 years unlimited mileage on all models, the only exclusion is for silicon batteries which are warranted for 1 year unlimited mileage on e1 silicon models.
Will I need to register my E-Motive electric scooter?
No your E-Motive Electric scooter will be delivered already registered with the DVLA in your name, with you as the first registered keeper.
Do I need to Tax my E-Motive Electric Scooter?
As your scooter is an electric vehicle it is exempt from Road Tax. However, you will need to display a tax disc which will be supplied with your E-Motive Electric Scooter at the time of delivery.
Will my E-Motive Electric Scooter need to be serviced?
There is no servicing requirement for E-Motive Electric Scooters. However, we do recommend a regular inspection of your brakes, tyres and other safety related components.
Will my E-Motive Electric Scooter need an MOT?
Yes on the third anniversary of your scooters first registration it will need to have an MOT test and then every year following this.
What Licence will I need to ride an E-Motive Electric Scooter?
As with 50cc petrol scooters, the e1 can be driven from the age of 16 but you will need a motorcycle licence or CBT (certificate of basic competence). However, if over 17 years old and you obtained your car driving licence before 1st February 2001 you do not need a CBT. If you do not have a full licence you will need to display L-plates.
e1+, e3 & e5 - Can be driven from the age of 17, you will need a motorcycle licence or a CBT, if you do not have a full motorcycle licence you will need to display L-plates.

Every E-Motive Electric Scooter is supplied with a standard (3 pin) 240v Mains charger complete with all of the required leads. Most journeys should be completed on a full charge but there are charging points in most major UK cities with more being installed all the time.
